Not just anyone can be a great aerial photographer. It requires someone who understands timing. They must also have manual dexterity and an attention to detail. It also requires that the photographer be able to work with GPS systems and other technical equipment. Someone interested in aerial photography should get as much education as they can. While there may be no course that will give you a degree in aerial photography, there are classes that will benefit you such as surveying, math and learning all you can about technical computer programs and digital cameras.
People who are interested in making a career out of aerial photography do well to become an apprentice to someone who is already working in the field. There is nothing like hands on experience and learning from someone who is an expert. Just like most any subject, you will learn things from an expert that are not taught in school or found in any textbook.
